Back in September 2024, I hit a breaking point.

I was tired of struggling. Tired of living paycheck to paycheck. Tired of feeling like no matter how hard I worked, we were barely getting by. I knew deep down that God had more for me, for my family, and for our future.

That’s when I found Purpose Pushers Academy — and my whole world started to shift.

 How It All Started (Spoiler: With T-Shirts)

When we first launched KayluvsJay, all we had were t-shirts and a whole lot of heart. I wanted to create something meaningful that could help other families like ours feel seen, uplifted, and reminded of their worth.

No money. No experience. Just faith, Canva, and a dream. 😅

But thanks to Purpose Pushers Academy and the leadership of our coach Brenda, we learned how to turn that spark into something real.

 Then Came Coloring Books (and My 8-Year-Old Blew Me Away)

That’s when we discovered the power of coloring books. Not just as a product, but as a tool to inspire kids and build generational confidence.

As part of Purpose Pushers Academy, we got access to Brenda’s 4-week coaching program that teaches you how to become a published author in 90 days or less — and let me tell you, it changed everything. She broke it down step-by-step and made it feel doable, even with a busy life and zero experience.

And y’all… my 8-year-old son published his very first coloring book. 🤯
Watching that moment unfold? It lit a fire in me I didn’t even know I had.

After he and I both published our books, I was honored to step into a new role as a Coloring Book Mentor inside Purpose Pushers Academy. Now I get to help other women and families do the same thing — create books, leave legacies, and walk boldly in their purpose.

 Learning AI, Websites & How to Make It All Happen

Once I realized what was possible, I went all in.

I taught myself how to use AI to design, how to build websites, how to turn our stories into real storybooks, and how to market what we made — all while raising three kids and running our household.

Now I use what I’ve learned to:

• Create custom shirts with meaning

• Design and publish coloring books + storybooks

• Build online stores from scratch

• And help others start their own journeys, too

We’re still learning every day. But we’re doing it together.

 From Broke to Our First $1K Online

In just a few short months after joining Purpose Pushers, we made our first $1,000 online — right from home, as a family, working together and building something that mattered.

We’re not rich. Not yet. 😉

 A Journey That Changed Everything

This journey has been absolutely amazing.

Not only have we learned new skills and built a real business — we’ve gained a family online. Even though most of us have never met in person, the support inside the Purpose Pushers community is so real. These people have been with us through every win, every fear, every breakthrough. They’ve cheered for us, prayed for us, and pushed us in all the best ways.

Our own family has grown so much closer through this too.

Our kids are doing better in school.
We’re home for the important moments.
We get to eat dinner together, cheer at school events, and just be present.
